Astonishing Bank Error Leaves Farmer Stunned

A man discovered that his bank account suddenly became huge, with a balance of 36 digits, after the bank mistakenly credited three trillion rupees. His account was frozen, and he is still unsure whether he became a victim of fraud or there was a glitch in the banking system.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the net worth of SpaceX founder and the richest person on the planet Elon Musk is 2.84 trillion Indian rupees. A similar incident happened in April 2024, when City Group bank mistakenly credited nearly $81 trillion to one of its clients instead of the intended $280.

A man from a village in Uttarakhand was shocked to find that his bank balance unexpectedly turned out to be a sum of 36 digits, exceeding the total wealth of the richest people in the world. He noted unusual activity in his account in April and reported the error to the authorities, who called it a "near catastrophe."

Although no money was withdrawn from the bank, and the error was corrected the next day, the man's account had increased even more, reaching an astonishing figure. His wife was initially happy to see such a strange balance, but soon she began to worry about possible fraud.

The family contacted the bank, which clarified that this was likely related to a technical error in their branch in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite the explanation, the man approached the local police and plans to file an official report with the electronic crime department.
