Indian authorities have imposed an indefinite curfew in Nagpur following violent clashes sparked by a demand for the removal of a Mughal emperor's tomb. Police report multiple injuries, including several officers.

In a written address, the Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra, where the Nagpur district is located, condemned the acts of violence, calling for strict adherence to the law and order. The police of India stated on the second day that in some areas of the Nagpur district, a restricted commander time was introduced after more than 10 police posts were involved in clashes caused by the group's demands to remove the mausoleum of the Mongolian empire from the 17th century.

A police officer, requesting to remain anonymous, reported that the acts of violence, which occurred on Monday, were linked to damage to multiple vehicles and injuries to several people, including at least 15 police officers, one of whom is in critical condition.
