India on Tuesday ordered restrictions on the consumption of natural gas and cooking gas, following disruptions in imports caused by the war in the Middle East, amid warnings from restaurants that they may have to shut down services. The Ministry of Petroleum said in a statement on Tuesday: "The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has disrupted shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) through the Strait of Hormuz."
