The Indian Space Agency announced yesterday the failure of its Earth observation satellite and 15 other small spacecraft to reach orbit due to a malfunction in the rocket carrying them. In a post on platform X, the agency stated: 'The PSLV-C62 mission encountered a malfunction at the end of the third stage burn, and a detailed analysis of the situation is currently underway.' S. Somanath, head of the Indian Space Research Organisation, told national television: 'The rocket performed its mission as expected until the end of the third stage burn, but at the end of the third stage, deviations were detected, and the rocket deviated from its course,' without providing further details.
