Two people were injured in an incident involving exploding balloons in an Indian suburb. According to police, the incident occurred on Monday evening in an elevator of a residential complex. A 21-year-old student, Himani Taperia, suffered burns to her arms, neck, and abdomen. She told police that the balloons suddenly exploded when a third person entered the elevator, causing a massive fireball. The worker, Raju Kumar Mahato, 32, also suffered burns. He was carrying 10-12 hydrogen balloons ordered by a building resident for a birthday party. Unlike helium, hydrogen is highly flammable. The Gurgaon police have filed a case against the balloon seller. Recall that a few months ago, hydrogen balloons also exploded at a wedding in Delhi, injuring the bride and groom. Last year, a woman in Vietnam was burned by exploding balloons while taking a picture with a birthday cake.
