As a result of an avalanche in a remote border area of India, at least four people have died. Authorities stated that about 200 people remain trapped under the snow and are trying to rescue them. The avalanche occurred in the Karam area, which borders China. Rescuers have already begun working at the site of the incident. For example, 15 people have already been pulled from the snow and taken to the hospital. One of the survivors was Rinchen, a woman, who recounted: 'Rescuers were able to help me escape from the snow. I lost consciousness for some time, but I feel lucky to have survived.' Rescuers continue to search for the missing and are working within their capabilities under the difficult conditions of the mountainous locality.
