The armed forces of India and Pakistan exchanged fire in the border area dividing the two countries in the Kashmir region. Both sides reported different versions of events.

According to Pakistan's statement, Indian troops opened fire from their positions in the area of the control line. A representative of the Pakistani army announced that they responded to the fire, which targeted Indian military personnel.

The Indian side claims that Pakistan was the first to start firing on Indian positions, and the Indian army responded in the same spirit. According to them, as a result, fire was exchanged using 120 mm caliber weapons, and one Pakistani soldier was reported wounded.
